Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are going into 2024 with hope and excitement for the year.
In the last email I sent in December, I mentioned that we have a big announcement for you.
Let me begin by saying that being a shop owner at The Blue Cardinal has been a dream come true for me. There hasn’t been one time that I’ve dreaded showing up for work.
From the day the shop opened in Feb of 2019, to when I became the owner & we changed our name to The Blue Cardinal in 2020, and through all the craziness of the pandemic and the following struggling economic ups & downs, the community here in Franklin, the surrounding areas, and our online customers have been so lovely, kind, and supportive and you’ve showed up for us in the best ways.
However after many, many hours spent in prayer and some long & difficult but realistic chats with my family & most trusted friends, we’ve decided that the right move going forward is for us to not continue with our brick & mortar location in 2024. This hasn’t been an easy decision by any means, and I haven’t taken it lightly.
While we will remain open during January and February, we’ll be transitioning completely online with our store, and our last month open in person will be March.
We’re still going to be very present and selling through our social media channels and our online store. We’re also exploring our options of a booth and/or participating in some of the local markets, and will keep everyone updated on that.
Beginning Jan 1, 2024 we will no longer be taking monogram orders. The monogrammer we use is at Farm Fresh Vintage Finds & Creamery in Fairview, and we highly recommend her. If you've ever had a logo digitized in our store, that file has been transferred to her there and you will not need to pay to have that done again.
What to Expect
While we’ll keep business as usual throughout January (with an AMAZING Christmas clearance section for you) there are some last chance items, such as: Loveless, Soberdough, TruBee Honey, Brightstone, Farm Fresh Candles, and FUSION paint that we will not be restocking. These items are all currently marked down 25% in-store and online & once they’re gone, they’re gone for good, so stock up while you can!
January is also the last month for you to shop our booth vendors, and many of them have great after Christmas sales for you! Any points you've accumulated from our rewards program will also expire on Jan 31.
We will TEMPORARILY close from Feb 1-5 to take inventory, to let the vendors move out, and for us to mark all the remaining items in the shop for liquidation pricing.
When we reopen on Feb 6, everything must go & will be priced accordingly.
